Greetings!
Welcome to LifeWork
Letter!
LifeWork Letter is a complimentary monthly
e-Newsletter from Connie Komack and LifeWork
Enterprises, with tips, quotes, and short articles
designed to enrich, empower, and forward the
growth of your life, career, or business.
I am writing to you on an absolutely "perfect 10" Spring
day - warm but not hot with a cool ocean breeze,
brilliant and cloudless blue sky and radiant sunshine,
multitudes of birds singing, and an abundance of
spring and early summer flowers in bloom - azaleas,
lilacs, pansies and peonies, irises, with the wild
roses coming out fast. This is a day to linger in, revel
in, stay present in, for we know - especially those of us
in New England - that this weather won't last. Such is
the natural order of things.
The theme of this month's newsletter is the
relationship between love and fear, which is basically
an oppositional one. As I approach the end of my 365-
day Letting Go experiment, I have taken on the very
large challenge of letting go of fear in order to make
room for more love to blossom in my life. This is a
potent example of clearing the non-material clutter in
one's life. In the theme article below, we explore the
work of psychiatrist Jerry Jampolsky as published in
his 1979 best-seller, Love Is Letting Go of Fear.
As always, I invite you to visit my blog site
www.conniekomack.blogspot.com and to read
the articles on transition, change, and re-designing
your life that are posted there. The story of my 365-day
Letting-Go experiment is also chronicled in my blog,
along with several other new articles posted this
month.
Feel free to share this newsletter with others.
It is easy to do by clicking on the forward
email link at the bottom of this newsletter.
Carpe Diem!

Love is the total absence of fear. Love asks no
questions. Its natural state is one of extension and
expansion, not comparison and
measurement.
With Love as our only reality, health and wholeness
can be viewed as inner peace, and healing can be be
seen as letting go of fear.

| Love is Letting Go of Fear |

As most of my readers know, I have been involved in a
personal letting-go experiment for almost a year now.
And, as the year has progressed, the process of
letting go of masterial things no longer needed or
wanted has led to other, non-material, forms of letting
go: mental, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual. So, it
would probably come as no surprise that in this
eleventh month of my experiment, I would come to this
very challenging non-material form of letting go: i.e.
letting go of Fear.
In the past few months, I have been re-reading some
of the classic books in the area of personal
transformation. Here is how a review on Amazon.com
describes the book that inspired the theme for this
month's newsletter: An inspirational classic since
1979, LOVE IS LETTING GO OF FEAR remains one of
the seminal works in the transpersonal movement.
If you consider nothing more than the title, you have
still received a powerful lesson: Love is Letting
Go of Fear.
These six words are deceptively simple. Easy to say.
Not so easy to do.
I read this book is 1979 when it first came out. I re-
read it about two weeks ago. The book does not take
much time to read - perhaps an hour or two, cover to
cover. But the lessons taught therein could take a
lifetime to master. I know this because two different
versions of me have read this book. When I first read
it, every concept was new to me, and none of the
lessons were a part of me then. Now, some 28 years
later, I have come a long way in some areas, and
there is still more to master.
Although the book is refreshingly concise and to
the point, and the 12 lessons contained within (based
on teachings from The Course in Miracles) are
short and laser-focused, the implementation of the
concepts in these 12 lessons is a whole different
story.
What a leap it is between knowing what to do and
doing it!

Have you ever noticed that the titles of some self-help
books can be a lesson in and of themselves? I buy a
lot of books, including self-help books, and many have
great titles. But there are a few whose titles so
skillfully capture the author's message that you don't
even have to read the books in order to integrate the
author's wisdom in a deep and powerful way. Here
are ten of my favorites. May their title messages
empower you!

| Year-Long Letting-Go Experiment: Month 11 |
 |
|
As of May 10th, I have completed 11 of the 12
months in my year-long Letting Go Experiment. The
BIG 365-day milestone is coming into view. And
although I may be about to cross the finish line on this
particular marathon experiment, I doubt that it will
really be over for me on June 10th, for I still have a lot
of letting go to do.

I believe that true happiness and fulfillment comes to
us when we know who we are, when we are
comfortable and confident living in our own skin,
when we know what we want from Life, and when
we focus our best efforts on going for our dream -
whatever that may be. Whether you are an individual
or a business, I support you in this quest.
